Today I want to share something fundamental with you; something that’s vital and very close to my heart.

It’s about your health: both physical and financial.

Physical health

Do you know that today’s age, “sitting is the new smoking”.

Most of us are cubicle dwellers spending anywhere between 6 to 10 hours in the chair, staring at the computer screen.

And that’s killing us all.

Because as a species, we have evolved to move in a jungle and not sit at one place for so long.

While it’s impossible to move back to the jungle now, it’s still possible to recreate some events of that jungle while you are slouching in your chair, staring at the screen.

This is one good article mentioning how you can recreate such experience with a moving workspace, and what are those best postures to be followed while you are on the ‘move’.

I was so much influenced with the article that I have already ordered my standing workstation from Amazon (click here to check).

I will share my experience with the standing workstation in a detailed blog post later, but I would suggest that you start following the advice religiously.

Remember, our body degenerates faster than we perceive, and most of this degeneration is irreversible.

Financial health

It’s important that you should have a measure of your financial health from time to time.

Over the years, I have built a few financial assets, and in April this year I availed the services of Jago Investor to understand if am on the right track. I scored 83 on a scale of 100 in their financial assessment test and some of the insights were really an eye opener.

Here’s my detailed review of the financial planning services of Jago Investor. It’s a paid service, but readers of my blog are eligible for an extra 10% discount on the feet. You can avail a 100% FREE consultation session via the link mentioned in the blog and decide on the paid service later.

Another important thing; till last year I used to check my credit rating score via ICICI and that used to cost me Rs. 500 each year. However, just realized that Paisa Bazaar offers the same service for free.

If you dont know your CIBIL score yet, do check it now for free through this link.

Don’t forget to download the report, you will have tons of insights on how your credit related activities are monitored so closely and why it’s so important to maintain a good credit score.

Well, that was all from my side today.

I hope you learnt something new today.
